Vendor Consignment: claims, earnings and payouts

Consignor earnings are held until the rental is returned and the post-return claim window has passed. Use the ledger and payout batches to reconcile and pay consignors.

Review a damage claim

  1. During the 48-hour post-return hold, the consignor submits a claim with a damage description, requested amount and evidence photo.
  2. Open Vendor Consignment → Claims.
  3. Review the booking, requested amount and evidence.
  4. Choose Approve credit with the approved amount and decision notes, or choose Reject.

Understand the earnings states

  • Pending — the rental has not been returned.
  • Held — returned, but still inside the 48-hour claim window.
  • Eligible — ready for a payout batch.
  • Allocated — included in a prepared payout batch.
  • Paid — the payout is complete.

Prepare and pay a batch

  1. Confirm payout details in the consignor's Financials & payouts tab: PayPal or bank transfer.
  2. Open Vendor Consignment → Payouts and review Accounts owed, Ready now and Held.
  3. Use Export ledger CSV to reconcile the ledger.
  4. Click Prepare payout now and review the draft batch.
  5. For bank transfer, pay from the store bank account and select Mark paid with an optional reference.
  6. For PayPal, the Shopify store account owner selects Approve and submit to PayPal.

There is no minimum payout threshold. PayPal partner onboarding, delegated Payouts access and live-launch approval are required before real PayPal submissions. The scheduled job may prepare a draft batch but never submits a payout automatically.
