The Dress Rental App Terms of Service
Last updated: 23 October 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of The Dress Rental App (the "App"), provided by Dress Hire Websites ("we", "us" or "our"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you use the App for a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business.
1. The service
The App provides tools for Shopify merchants to manage dress and fashion rentals, including booking dates, availability, returns, try-on appointments, customer communications and related store workflows. Features may change as we improve the App, but we will aim to keep the core service available and useful.
2. Your Shopify store and account
You must maintain an active Shopify store and comply with Shopify's terms and policies. You are responsible for your Shopify account, your staff's access, your store configuration and all activity carried out through your store. You must provide accurate information and promptly tell us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
3. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the products, prices, rental rules, cancellation terms, bonds, insurance, cleaning fees, late fees, customer notices and other policies you configure or publish. You must ensure that your rental practices and customer communications comply with applicable law, Shopify requirements and your own published terms.
You are also responsible for obtaining any consent required to collect and use customer information, including identification images, and for responding to customer requests. The App is a software tool and does not replace your legal, tax, insurance or operational advice.
4. Customer data and privacy
You remain responsible for the customer data you submit to or manage through the App. We process that information to provide and secure the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You authorise us to process store and customer information as needed to operate the App and comply with Shopify privacy and data-protection requests.
5. Fees and billing
Any applicable App fees, plan limits and billing terms are shown in Shopify or communicated to you before they apply. Shopify may bill you for the App under its billing systems. Unless required by law or stated otherwise, fees already paid are non-refundable. We may change plans or pricing with reasonable notice, and changes will not affect a billing period already paid for.
6. Availability and support
We work to keep the App available, but the service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, outages, security events or dependencies outside our control. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Support is available through our support form or by emailing dresshirewebsites@gmail.com.
7. Intellectual property
We and our licensors own the App, its software, documentation, branding and related materials. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App for your Shopify store while your account is active. You must not copy, resell, reverse engineer, interfere with, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App.
You retain ownership of the content and data you provide. You give us permission to host, reproduce and process that content only as needed to provide, maintain, secure and improve the service.
8. Third-party services
The App relies on Shopify and may connect with other services, including hosting, email and SMS providers. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or for changes, interruptions or losses caused by them.
9. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the App will meet every business requirement, prevent double bookings in every circumstance, ensure a rental is profitable, or make your store legally compliant. You should maintain appropriate backups, review your configuration and use your own operational checks.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of data, business interruption or reputational loss arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for claims relating to the App will not exceed the App fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the App by uninstalling it from Shopify. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create a security or legal risk, fail to pay applicable fees, or if we discontinue the App. On termination, your right to use the App ends. We may retain or delete data as described in our Privacy Policy and as required by law.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the date above. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice where practical. Continued use of the App after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, unless applicable law requires otherwise. The courts of New South Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have under the law where you operate.
