# Collection automation

Automatically create Shopify collections and menu links for **brands**, **sizes**, **colours** and **styles**, so customers can browse your range.

## Set it up

1. In **Online Store → Navigation**, create the menu item you want filled, for example **Browse by Size**.
2. In the app, go to **Settings → Automation** and enable the automation.
3. Choose options such as **Create missing collections**, **Add to navigation** and **Keep ordered**, then pick the menu item.
4. Optionally change the source field, and add **Exceptions** (values to ignore, one per line, for example _Other_).
5. Save, then click **Sync** (or **Sync All Collections**).

The dashboard shows missing collections, menu links, brand images and products missing a size, colour or style. Syncing never deletes collections or menu items.

The first time, the app may ask for extra Shopify permissions (collections and navigation). Reload the app and approve them. You don't need to reinstall.
